Yes, it is time for another #PhotoOfTheWeek Friday. But we would be remiss to not also announce the arrival of TURTLE TIME! Photographer Connie Estes found this smooth softshell turtle (nicknamed Bertha) in Osage County . . . or rather, Bertha seems to have found our photographer. We wish the mama turtle more pleasant sunbathing in the warm days to come.

No matter where you're reading this from, it's another #PhotoOfTheWeek Friday in Oklahoma! April is the month of redbud trees in our state, and photographer PJ Petty spotted this beaut a few weeks ago near a rural Chandler road. We're not sure what the official trees of the other states are, but we're confident Oklahoma's is among the prettiest.

168 hours later, we're back to #PhotoOfTheWeek Friday! Here's a smooth-looking fellow for us to gaze at this week. It is an Eastern bluebird spotted in the Sand Springs backyard of photographer Aneda Smith. With such a lovely coat of feathers, it's no wonder they love to sing.
