Receipt of this permit does not imply confirmation of reservation. All facility reservations are not confirmed until all applicable fees (90 days prior to event), insurances and requested documents (2 weeks prior to event) have been submitted and approved by the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department. The application processing fee is non-refundable.

Please read carefully. The following disclaimers may affect your reservation at this location:

Advertisement - No posters, handbills, or flyers shall be attached to City property inside or outside the park, i.e. utility poles, street trees, etc.

Alcohol- Alcohol is NOT permitted at outside facilities.

Alcohol is only allowed at specific indoor facilities; Lakeside Room at Fairmount Park, the banquet halls at Bordwell Park, Dales Senior Center, Orange Terrace Community Center, La Sierra Senior Center, Hunt/Renck Community Center and Villegas Park. These facilities require a paid Alcohol License fee.

Applicant must provide Liability Insurance with an Endorsement Page from the Insurance Company for rentals. Insurance must cover a minimum of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate and name the City of Riverside as additionally insured. A copy must be presented to the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department office at least three (3) weeks prior to your event - NO EXCEPTIONS PER DEPARTMENT POLICY.

Person or organization to whom this permit is issued shall be liable to the City for any and all liability for injury to persons or property occurring as a result of the activity sponsored by the applicant. This includes all areas of the park/facility reserved, including but not limited to athletic/ballfields, concession stands, announcer booths, equipment storage, restrooms, walkways, parking lots and all other related facilities.

Only beer, wine and champagne are allowed. No glass bottles are permitted. If glass bottles are brought in, the drink must be poured into a clear plastic cup behind the bar area. Alcohol must be served by an adult 21 years of age or older. Alcoholic beverages may not be served to anyone under the age of 21. Applicant must hire a security guard for the duration of the event if alcohol is present. Applicant must provide the department with a copy of the security contract at least three (3) weeks prior to event - NO EXCEPTIONS-PER DEPARTMENT POLICY.

Items that must be included on security contract: Name of Applicant, Name of Facility, date of event, hours at event, name of guard with contact number and copy of their photo ID with security badge. Contract may be submitted in person or emailed to parks@riversideca.gov.

Cancellation Fee - All cancellations must be requested at least six (6) months in advance of event; client will receive a full refund minus the $25 non-refundable processing fee. The application processing fee is non-refundable. If the cancellation is less than 180 days prior to the date of event, client shall forfeit a portion up to all payments made to permit (see section 8 of facility contract agreement on facility rental application.)

Catered Food/Health Permit - If Applicant has food catered by a company, a health permit will be required from that company. A copy of the health permit must be received at least three (3) weeks prior to event - NO EXCEPTIONS-PER DEPARTMENT POLICY. Permit may be submitted in person or emailed to parks@riversideca.gov.

Post-Event Cleanup - Applicant is responsible for returning facility to its original condition. All trash must be placed in receptacles. All decorations and personal property must be removed at the conclusion of the event.

Decorations - Nails, tacks, and duct tape are prohibited (painter's tape is accepted). Any use of these items will result in the loss of your deposit. You may also be billed for any additional charges the City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department may incur during restoration of the facility.

Kitchen Use - The kitchen appliances at most community centers shall not be used to fry or cook foods that create grease-laden vapors. Rental of banquet and multi-purpose rooms includes the use of the kitchen. Please check with facility Coordinator for kitchen availability.

Music/Live Bands - Live Bands/DJ cannot play for more than six (6) hours. A security guard is required for all rentals having amplified sound.

Parking - Due to limited parking, you may need to make other arrangements for large events to accommodate your guests. Please visit the site prior to your event to determine if parking will be adequate.

Reservation Time - Your reservation start time and end time must include the set-up and clean-up of your event. Staff will set up all requested tables and chairs.

Security - General liability insurance naming the City of Riverside as additionally insured for one million dollars ($1,000,000) general liability, including all endorsement pages. Security contract for the event Private Patrol Operators (PPO) License Valid guard card for each guard working the event Riverside Business License.
