Entity Powers and Duties, Activity Summary
The board licenses and regulates veterinarians; registers veterinary corporations, and investigates complaints against veterinarians and unlicensed persons practicing veterinary medicine.

ACTIVITY SUMMARY

In FY2021 this Board provided regulatory oversight to 3700 veterinary licenses and 516 veterinary professional firms. One hundred three complaints were investigated. Continuing education on current regulatory topics was provided to veterinarians via educational presentations and the Board's newsletters. Pandemic regulatory changes, executive orders and guidelines were communicated immediately to licensees via email and were posted on the Board's website. Changes were discussed and approved by the Board members.
