Region 4 Weekly Construction Update
Here at ODOT, we are committed to providing a safe and efficient transportation system for everyone. We invest in Oregon's future through roadway improvement projects. The following projects are located within Region 4; Central Oregon from The Dalles to Klamath Falls on the east side of the Cascades.
There are two ways to learn about construction taking place for the upcoming week.
1. Visit TripCheck.com. Constantly updated with construction and crash data, TripCheck is the best way to learn about road conditions around the state. Click on a traffic cone symbol on the map to see construction impacts for that area.
2. Scroll down to the counties and highways listed below to see impacts that could affect you. Construction information is shown for one week, giving you the most up-to-date information.
All work is dependent on weather conditions, and schedules are subject to change.
DESCHUTES COUNTY
U.S. 97 and U.S. 20 Bend North Corridor
Travelers will encounter single lane closures on U.S. 97 from Empire to Grandview Sunday night through Friday night.

U.S. 97: Lower Bridge Way - Northwest 10th Street (Terrebonne)
Crews will be working on the retaining walls on the east and west sides of U.S. 97 around Lower Bridge way. Smith Rock Way has reopened with flaggers controlling traffic while remaining work is completed. Expect minimal delays.

U.S. 20: 3rd Street - 15th Street (Greenwood, Bend) Project
Crews will be performing shoulder closures on Division Street to install sidewalk. Minimal delays expected.
There will be no work from December 20th, 2024 to January 6th, 2025.

OR 126: Redmond - Powell Butte
Project is mostly complete with the exception of bridge work and in town paving. Work will resume in late February.

CLACKAMAS COUNTY
OR 35: U.S. 26 Overcrossing Bridge (Mt. Hood Highway)
Work on the project is completed for the season and there are no anticipated impacts to traffic. Work will resume in the Spring of 2025 with the installation of permanent striping.

GILLIAM COUNTY
OR 206: Rock Creek Bridge Project
Construction of the new bridge is complete. Workers may be on-site periodically performing punch list work items, but there are no anticipated impacts to motorists.

KLAMATH COUNTY
OR 140 Brett Way Extension (South Klamath Falls Highway, MP 3.74 - 4.75)
No work expected this week.

Expected completion - August 2025
U.S. 97: OR 58 - California Border Project (The Dalles - California Highway, MP 252.44 - MP 278.81)
Crews will be performing bridge work on the Link River Bridge at Milepost 275. Travelers can expect daytime closures on Conger Avenue for drainage work. George Nurse Way is closed to thru traffic, please use detour in place.

SHERMAN COUNTY
I-84: US197-The Dalles, Rufus & Arlington Bridges
Crews will be on-site performing permanent seeding in the area associated with construction of the Rufus crossover. Motorists should anticipate median shoulder closures weekdays on I-84 near milepost 109, in both eastbound and westbound directions.
