Accountability for Exploiting Cuban Medical Professionals
On June 3, we imposed visa restrictions on several Central American officials and their family members responsible for Cuban medical mission programs that include elements of forced labor and worker exploitation.
The Cuban labor export program enriches the Cuban regime and deprives Cubans of essential medical care at home.
"The U.S. is serious about its efforts to promote accountability for those linked to the forced labor and exploitation of Cuban medical workers. Visiting the U.S. with a visa is a privilege," Secretary Rubio emphasized on X.
