2024 Accelerate Report Released!

Accelerate is an annual report that spotlights Arlington's completed core work pertaining to energy, climate and the environment. It reflects the County's multi-sector, cross-disciplinary approach which demonstrates the guiding whole-of-government principle. Each report contains fresh new stories to maintain transparency, highlight Arlington's key successes and provide education on climate and energy related activities. View the 2024 report.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory - Now Live!

Arlington County tracks community-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that result from activities within Arlington. The County’s GHG dashboard summarizes data from the Community-wide GHG Emissions Inventories for years 2007, 2012, 2016 and 2023. The GHG inventory covers emissions from residents, businesses and County operations, guides emissions reduction efforts and tracks progress toward the County's 2050 carbon neutrality goal under the Community Energy Plan.

Healthy Homes Fair

Saturday, May 10, 1:00pm - 5:00pm

The Catholic University of America, Pryzbyla Center

Visit the AIRE team and Climate Policy Office (CPO) table at the DC Healthy Homes Fair expo. We hope to answer your questions on electrifying your home and share resources you can use to learn more about our green energy initiatives! This expo will offer more than 100 exhibitors, induction cooking demonstrations and the opportunity to test green appliances! Register to attend.

Bike to Work Day

Thursday, May 15

Take the pledge to bike to work! Join thousands of riders for this free event across DC, Maryland and Virginia. Register, find more than 100 pit stop locations and view event times here. At certain pit stops in Arlington, scan our QR code to learn more about how you can apply for our e-bike voucher program.
