The Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee (EOGOAC) will not meet in June.

The next scheduled meeting is July 15th, 2025.

Office of Equity Seeks Workgroup Participants

The Office of Equity seeks community members who have lived experience advocating directly on the 2024 Nothing About Us Without Us Act and/or people who have served on state government workgroup(s). Members of this Workgroup will share feedback about the Community Engagement Toolkit. Your opinion is needed to guide our improvement efforts.   

The Community Engagement Toolkit Workgroup Application is available online. The application will be open until 5:00 pm June 20, 2025. If preferred, email natalia.kossvallejo@equity.wa.gov to schedule a phone call and complete an application over the phone with a member of the EQUITY team.

This is a paid opportunity for people who qualify. There will be 4 –6 online group meetings, held between July and September 2025. There are 9 open positions and applicants with varied backgrounds, including people whose primary language is not English are asked to serve.  Materials will be translated upon request.

Free Showers for Those in Need - Tacoma, WA

Tacoma Public Library and The New Hope Resource Center have partnered to offer free showers, designed to support individuals experiencing houselessness or housing instability. A mobile shower trailer will be available in the Moore Library parking lot twice a month, with drop-in programs and resources offered in our meeting room while you wait. Please spread the word.
