ConnectEBT Website and Mobile App available for Georgia SNAP Clients

The ConnectEBT website provides SNAP customers with a fast, secure, and easy way to monitor their EBT available balance, deposits, transaction activity, and select or change a PIN. Now, customers have a new function: the ability to lock and unlock their EBT cards, as well as an app (the ConnectEBT app they can use in addition to the existing website.)

Card lock/unlock feature available!

EBT card users can now lock and unlock their EBT cards as an added layer of security to protect their SNAP benefits. SNAP clients can lock their EBT cards when not in use and unlock the card when they are ready to shop or pay for their purchases. The lock feature also allows SNAP customers to choose where their cards are locked. Customers can lock their cards everywhere (including Georgia) or only outside the state of Georgia to help prevent benefit theft.

How do I lock or unlock my EBT card?

Clients can go online to the ConnectEBT client website or download the ConnectEBT mobile app to your phone from your device’s App Store and follow the directions in the app to lock/unlock the card.

What if I forget to re-lock my card after I unlock it?

Each time you unlock your card, there is a feature to automatically lock the card again after a certain amount of time (i.e. 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes). Simply select the time that you would like to re-lock your card and it will automatically lock after the time has expired.

How do I get access to the mobile app?

You can download the ConnectEBT app on your Android or Apple device by accessing your device’s App Store. Once the app is installed, register your account. If you already have access to the ConnectEBT website, you can use the same username and password to log into the mobile app.

What will the app do?

This app allows you to view your available SNAP benefits, lock your SNAP card between purchases, change your PIN, view transactions, and receive alerts when activities are completed using your EBT card.

When will this app be available?

The app is available for Georgia SNAP recipients in the Apple App Store and Android Google Play as of Dec. 3, 2024.
