We are excited to invite you to a hybrid event in honor of those with unique gifts - our tribal DSHS Developmental Disabilities Administration clients. Join us as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month. This event will offer in-person and virtual participation options, making it accessible to everyone.

Please join us in person for our Native American Heritage Event & Film Screening on November 1, 2024, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Department of Social and Health Services OB-2 Auditorium on the Washington State Capital Campus in Olympia.

Event Highlights

A community resource fair showcasing support services for families.
A live dance performance and opening remarks will begin at 12PM, followed by the film screening of “Fish War" at 1PM. A panel discussion highlighting powerful stories from Native American communities will take place immediately after the screening. Seating to the film screening is limited.

How to Register or RSVP

Early registration is encouraged if you plan to attend in person or virtually to secure your spot, as spaces are limited.

For In-Person Attendance:

Register for the in-person event by pressing the Reserve a spot button on this page. Once registered, you will receive a complimentary event ticket and parking pass.

For Virtual Attendance:

Register for the event’s virtual film screening and panel discussion portion at DSHS Native American Heritage Film Screening VIRTUAL Registration. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link and event details.

Accommodations

ASL interpreter services will be available at the event. Please advise- additional accommodation requests can no longer be addressed due to time constraints.
