What to Know: MNJRC Commitment to Progress Event Tomorrow

Thank you for registering for “Commitment to Progress: Five Years Later” taking place tomorrow, Thursday, July 10th. We look forward to seeing you at 6pm at Urban League Twin Cities (2100 Plymouth Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55411).

What to know:

Food + engagement opportunities begin at 5:30 PM
Please join us at 5:30pm for dinner and an array of activities before programming begins at 6pm. You can stroll through a gallery walk about MNJRC’s consent decree research, try out a virtual reality tool that could help transform police training, and share your reflections on change in a video story booth.

Parking and transit

There is a small parking lot on-site, street parking, and a ramp across the street. The building is also accessible by Metro Transit buses 7 and 19.

It was years ago that I worked in the field in Minneapolis Saint Paul. I was working as a crime victims assistance specialist. At that time, there wasn’t much of a mechanism and it was hard to see if people even talk about having been abused at the hands of law officers. I’m coming to learn to listen to read, introduce myself and catch up to what’s happening in the world of justice for all of us.
