In observance of Memorial Day, Monday, May 26 there will be no contraflow and lane closure unless otherwise permitted. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. —MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —
1) PAHALA (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 47.5 to 49.5, in the vicinity of Pahala Town, on Saturday, May 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for cutting grass.
2) NAALEHU
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 58 to 60, on Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for grass cutting.
3) HONAUNAU
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 97.2 to 104.7, in the vicinity of Haleili Road and Filipino Clubhouse Road, on Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for safety improvements.
4) HONAUNAU
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 105 to 107, in the vicinity of Filipino Clubhouse Road and Rabbit Hill Road, on Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for grass cutting and shoulder work.
5) CAPTAIN COOK (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 107 to 109.5, in the vicinity of Rabbit Hill Road and Greenwell Park, on Saturday, May 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for mowing and shoulder work.
6) HOLUALOA (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile post 117 to 118, on Saturday, May 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for mowing.
—KAMEHAMEHA AVENUE (ROUTE 11) —
1) HILO
Single lane closure on Kamehameha Avenue (Route 11) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 0, at Banyan Drive, on Tuesday, May 27 to Friday, May 30 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for maintenance on the islands and center line.
— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —
1) HILO (WEEKEND CLOSURE)
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction at Lihiwai Street. The right turn lane going northbound and the left turn lane going southbound will be closed. Lihiwai will be closed at the intersection of Hawaii Belt Road (Route 29) on Saturday, May 24 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the arrival of the Hokulea.
2) HAKALAU (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 14.5 to 16, in the vicinity of Leopolino Road, on Saturday, May 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for tree trimming and shoulder work.
3) HAKALAU
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 15.5 to 16.5, in the vicinity of Old Mamalahoa Highway and Kauniho Road, Tuesday, May 27 to Friday, May 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. tree trimming and shoulder work.
4) NINOLE TO LAPAHOEHOE (WEEKEND WORK)
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 20 to 26, Saturday, May 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for cutting grass and spraying for weed control.
5) LAPAHOEHOE
Single lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 23 to 25, in the vicinity of Old Mamalahoa Highway and Koi Loop, Tuesday, May 27 to Friday, May 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for cutting grass.
