About CODAsummit:
Hosted by CODAworx and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, CODAsummit is where all of the players in the public art industry come together to meet and learn from one another, to share secrets and resources, to conduct business, and to figure out how we even talk about this new world.
Our gathering introduces public art commissioners to leading artists working with technology and placemaking art, and it also provides successful commissioning models for inspiration. And, because art + technology projects require collaboration in the truest sense of the word, artist teams learn from the expertise of specialty fabricators, technology companies, engineers, a whole host of other key resources. CODAsummit is all about connections that lead to opportunities.
Our presenters include leading artist-activists who work to bring about change, and the pioneering public art commissioners who push the envelope to support artwork that facilitates empathy and engagement. CODAsummit includes both theoretical and practical information, drawing from thought-leaders in the public art industry.
