The 2025 MIPS Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances Exception application and 2025 MIPS Promoting Interoperability Hardship Exception application are available. They can be submitted until 8 p.m. ET on December 31, 2025. 

The Doctors and Clinicians Preview Period is open from Tuesday, May 27 to Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT). Preview your 2023 Quality Payment Program (QPP) performance information before it appears on the profile pages of clinicians and groups on the compare tool on Medicare.gov and in the Provider Data Catalog (PDC). You can access the secure preview on the QPP website.

Registration is open for groups, subgroups, virtual groups, and Alternative Payment Model (APM) Entities that intend to administer the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) for MIPS Survey as part of their traditional MIPS, MIPS Value Pathway (MVP), or APM Performance Pathway (APP) reporting. Registration closes on June 30, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET. 

Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) are required to report the APP Plus quality measure set beginning in PY 2025 and are automatically registered for the CAHPS for MIPS Survey. However, they'll still need to contract with a CMS-approved survey vendor to administer the CAHPS for MIPS Survey
 

To report an MVP for the 2025 performance year, you must register in advance. The MVP registration window is open until December 1, 2025 at 8.p.m. ET. 

If you’re registering for an MVP that includes the CAHPS for MIPS Survey measure and you plan on administering the survey as 1 of your 4 required quality measures, you must complete your MVP registration by June 30, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET. You must also complete a separate CAHPS for MIPS Survey measure registration by June 30, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET.
