Hazard definitions:
  1. Fire - Use of the product may lead to a fire or the product violates federal fabric flammability regulations.
  2. Burn - Use of the product may lead to experiencing burns.
  3. Heat-Related Explosion - The product may explode unintentionally.
  4. Falling - Use of the product may cause an unintentional fall.
  5. Crash - Use of the product may lead to an unintentional crash.
  6. Poisoning - Use of the product may lead to poisoning.
  7. Safety Equipment Malfunction - The safety product does not operate as intended and use of the product may lead to injury or death.
  8. Impact - Use of the product may lead to an unintentional impact that may cause injury or death.
  9. Choking - Use of the product may lead to choking, or the product violates federal toy safety standards, or the product violates federal children clothing standards (drawstrings).
  10. Cuts - Use of the product may lead to unintentional cuts and/or lacerations.

Recall Remedies - 5 Years

  1. Refund - A customer may receive a full or partial refund, or gift card for the recalled product.
  2. Repair - The company is offering a repair to the recalled product.
  3. Replace - The company is offering a replacement for the recalled product in the form of a new product or other products of similar value.
  4. Dispose - The product should be thrown out or recycled.
  5. New Instructions - The company will issue new instructions on how the customer can make the recalled product safe.

Hazard:

The recalled gates violate the federal standard for expansion gates and expandable enclosures because a child’s torso can fit through the opening between the gate and the floor, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to entrapment hazard. 

Remedy:

Consumers should stop using the recalled gates immediately and contact Signbaby for instructions to receive a full refund. Consumers will be asked to disassemble the gates and destroy them by cutting the mesh and to send a photo of the destroyed gates to regcards.team@gmail.com. Once the photo is received, Signbaby will issue a full refund. Signbaby and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

Hazard:

The recalled padded cushioned crib bumpers violate the federal crib bumper ban because they can obstruct an infant’s breathing, posing a suffocation hazard. This creates an unsafe sleeping environment for infants. Padded crib bumpers are banned by the Safe Sleep for Babies Act.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled padded cushioned crib bumpers and contact YIXIA for a full refund. Consumers should remove the crib bumpers, cut the straps and padding and email a photo of the destroyed bumpers to Yixiakejirecall@163.com to obtain a full refund. YIXIA and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

Hazard:

The recalled crib bumpers violate the federal ban on crib bumpers because the padded crib bumpers can obstruct breathing, posing a risk of serious injury or death to infants from suffocation. Padded crib bumpers are banned by the Federal Safe Sleep for Babies Act.

Remedy:

Consumers should stop using the crib bumpers, remove them from the crib immediately and contact Haoyunm for a refund. Consumers should cut the bumper in half, take a photo of it, and email the photo to hyzhongtshung@outlook.com.

Hazard:

Multiple components of the children’s bicycles contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban, posing a lead poisoning hazard to children. In addition, the black paint on the bicycle pumps contains lead that exceeds the federal lead paint ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

Remedy:

Consumers should stop using the recalled children’s bicycles immediately and contact Shenzhen Yihuachuang Technology for a full refund. To receive a refund, consumers should dismantle the bicycles, take a photo, and send the photo by email to lishkjie@163.com. After submitting proof of destruction, consumers should dispose of the recalled bike.

Hazard:

The fork steerer tube on the recalled bicycles can crack, break or separate during use, posing a fall hazard.

Remedy:

To determine whether a Momentum Vida E+ bicycle is included in this recall, consumers should look at the third character of the bike’s serial number. Bikes with a serial number in which the third character is “H”, “J” or “K” are included in this recall and must have their forks replaced free of charge. Bikes with a serial number in which the third character is “G” require additional visual inspection by an authorized Giant Bicycle dealer to determine fork status.

Hazard:

The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in injuries or death to children. The dressers violate the federal standard as required by the STURDY Act.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dressers if they are not anchored to a wall and place them in an area that children cannot access. Contact WLIVE for instructions on how to dispose of the dressers to receive a full refund. Consumers must submit a photo of the disposed dresser to wliveproductrecall@wlivehome.com. Hazard:

The aftermarket play yard mattresses violate the mandatory standard for crib mattresses as the mattresses exceed thickness requirements and may not adequately fit certain play yards, posing a deadly entrapment hazard.  Babies can suffocate in gaps between an undersized mattress, or extra padding, and side walls of a product, especially when the infant’s face becomes trapped against the side and the mattress, preventing the infant from breathing.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the mattresses and contact Kbabyea for a full refund. Consumers should cut the mattresses in half and send a photo of the cut-mattress in the waste bin to Kbabyearecall@outlook.com to receive a full refund.

Hazard:

The lid can forcefully eject, posing serious impact and laceration hazards, when a consumer attempts to open the capped bottles after food, carbonated beverages or perishable beverages, such as juice or milk, are stored inside over time.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled water bottles and contact Walmart for a full refund. Consumers can bring the bottle to their nearest Walmart store for a refund.

Hazard:

The fuel gas valve can open unexpectedly, allowing a gas leak and posing a fire hazard.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the heating mode of the recalled units and contact their dealer who installed the unit to schedule an appointment for a free inspection and repair, by replacing the ignition board of the unit. Consumers with Trane products can locate their nearest dealer at www.trane.com/residential/en/dealer-locator/. Consumers with American Standard products can locate their nearest dealer at www.americanstandardair.com/find-your-dealer/. Consumers can also contact Trane or American Standard directly for support.

Hazard:

The recalled drain covers do not conform to the entrapment protection standards of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA), posing an entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers.

Remedy:

Pool owners/operators and consumers should immediately stop using pools with the recalled pool drain covers. To receive a refund, consumers should remove the drain cover from the pool, take a photo of the removed cover, and send it to the recalling firm by email at Junjuanshop2025@outlook.com. Ensure all pools and spas have VGBA compliant drain covers and teach children to stay away from drains. Junjuanshop and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

Hazard:

The crib mattresses fail to meet flammability requirements, violating the mandatory standard for mattresses, posing a deadly fire hazard. The mattresses also may not adequately fit certain non-full-sized cribs, which is in violation of the mandatory standard for crib mattresses, posing a deadly entrapment hazard. Babies have suffocated in gaps between an undersized mattress, or extra padding, and side walls of a product, especially when the infant’s face becomes trapped against the side and the mattress, preventing the infant from breathing.

Consumer Action:

CPSC urges consumers to stop using the crib mattresses immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous crib mattresses.

The internal lithium-ion battery can explode and ignite, even when the insoles are turned off, posing a risk of serious burn injury and fire hazard. 

Consumer Action:

CPSC urges consumers to immediately dispose of the defective heated insoles following local hazardous waste disposal procedures.

Hazard:

The drain covers do not bear the required product markings in violation of mandatory federal requirements of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA), posing entrapment and drowning hazards to swimmers and bathers. The drain covers also fail to meet safety requirements by not stating the service life of the covers, not providing the installation and maintenance instructions and failing other requirements in the act.

Consumer Action:

CPSC urges consumers to immediately remove, replace and dispose of the drain covers and to stop using pools with the drain covers until the covers have been replaced. Do not sell or give away these hazardous drain covers.

The infant walkers can fit through a standard doorway and fail to stop at the edge of a step. Also, the walkers have leg openings that can allow the child to slip down until the child’s head becomes entrapped. These are violations of the mandatory safety standard for infant walkers.

Consumer Action:

CPSC urges consumers to stop using the infant walkers immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous infant walkers.

Consumer Action:

CPSC urges consumers to immediately dispose of the electric immersion water heaters. There is no remedy for consumers because the manufacturer is refusing to cooperate with CPSC.

The Nativity set toys, which contain button cell batteries, violate the mandatory federal standard for toys because the compartment that holds the batteries can be easily accessed and opened by children, posing a deadly ingestion hazard to children.

Consumer Action:

CPSC urges consumers to stop using the Nativity set toys immediately and dispose of them.

Hazard:

The bed rails violate the federal standard for children’s portable bed rails because, when installed adjacent to the bed, a child can become entrapped between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, creating an asphyxiation hazard that poses a risk of serious injury or death.

Consumer Action:

CPSC urges consumers to stop using the children’s portable bed rails immediately and dispose of them. Do not sell or give away these hazardous children’s portable bed rails.
