Total annual available funding is $1 million in fiscal year 2025. Grant awards for the first round of funding are expected to range from $50,000 to $200,000 per project. OCM intends to fund investments in eligible communities throughout the state. This is a competitive grant program.
The request for proposals/applications opened on Feb. 10. Please apply using the following link: OCM CanRenew grant application. The deadline to apply is March 24 by 11:59 p.m. CDT.
Grantees will be announced in spring 2025, with projects starting around June 30, 2025. Funds must be used within a one-year period, with operations starting within 90 days of the award notice.
Projects will address a range of community needs, including economic development, public health, violence prevention, youth development, and civil legal aid.
Applications will be evaluated based on their potential community impact, the applicant’s track record of success, and community support. Priority will be given to applications that demonstrate prior success with similar projects, strong community backing, and youth engagement projects.
