HELENA – Superintendent Arntzen is pleased to announce the release of the improved Teacher Learning HUB (HUB). The HUB provides high-quality online professional learning to support Montana’s education professionals. The HUB contains current education-related topics and new courses that seamlessly integrate into Montana school district’s professional development plans.
“As a teacher of 23 years, I know the importance of ongoing learning to develop professionally,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “The Teacher Learning HUB offers courses that give our Montana educators increased confidence in their teaching. Robust professional development creates high-quality teachers that every Montana student and family deserves.”
The HUB has been recently updated with a new look to be more user-friendly. Professional development units are directly linked to the new teacher licensing platform, Teach Montana. The Teacher Learning HUB also hosts an Indian Education for All course, which is a requirement for obtaining a Montana teaching license. New courses include The Dyslexia Series and the Foundational Skills for Literacy Series, based on Science of Reading research that supports the Early Literacy Targeted Intervention programs. Courses for teachers of multilingual and English language learners, technical assistance for the new Montana Aligned to Standards Through Year (MAST) assessment, and support for districts’ Integrated Strategic Action Plan (ISAP) needs will be added soon.
The Teacher Learning HUB can be accessed here. For questions and additional help, please contact the HUB Help Desk at 406-444-9019 or opilearninghub@mt.gov.
