Project Updates
Progress: Crews have successfully completed all sidewalk work, ADA curb ramps, as well as milling and overlaying along the corridor. Installation of pedestrian signals is now underway, including a pedestrian hybrid beacon at the Lafitte Greenway to enhance safety and accessibility. Pending final decisions from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the project timeline has been extended. We now anticipate full completion by the end of August.
NO Sidewalk Parking: The Department of Public Works would like to remind residents and business owners to refrain from parking on the sidewalk's, parking enforcement has been notified, and enforcement has begun.
