Prohibition for Feeding Wildlife  SEPA# 25-002

View the SEPA Determination and the supporting documents

The Washington Legislature enacted the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) in 1971. The law requires state and local governments to consider environmental values during the decision-making process. The environmental review process in SEPA is designed to work with other regulations to provide a comprehensive review of a proposal. While most regulations focus on aspects of a proposal, SEPA requires the identification and evaluation of probable impacts on all elements of the environment. This SEPA comment period for this proposal runs concurrently with the comment period for the rule making.

Question title

Please provide your comments on the SEPA determination issued for the proposal. Your comments should be limited to the findings in the SEPA determination and any probable adverse impacts to the environment.

David BrownellI support the banning of feeding wild animals. It creates unsafe and unsanitary conditions and only benefits hunters.

Chris SIf feeding deer and elk will spread CWD, then feeding wild birds will spread bird flu. Let's "BAN" feeding all wild birds to stop the spread of bird flu! Apples to apples!
