2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule Is Now Available
PERFORMANCE YEAR 2026The Calendar Year (CY) 2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), which includes proposed QPP policies for the 2026 performance year, is now available for viewing. The 60-day public comment period ends September 12, 2025.
2023 QPP Data Resources Are Available
PERFORMANCE YEAR 2023We released more participation and performance data for the 2023 performance year of the Quality Payment Program, including both MIPS and APM participation. These data are available in the 2023 QPP Experience Report and the 2023 QPP Public Use File, in addition to the existing 2023 QPP Results At-A-Glance.
Self-Nomination Period for QCDRs and Qualified Registries Is Now Open
PERFORMANCE YEAR 2026Third party intermediaries must self-nominate by 8 p.m. ET on September 2, 2025, to become a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) or Qualified Registry for MIPS in 2026.
CY 2023 DAC Preview Period Has Reopened
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has reopened the calendar year (CY) 2023 Doctors and Clinicians (DAC) Preview Period because updates were made to the CY 2023 Quality Payment Program (QPP) performance data available during the Preview Period that closed in June. Review your performance information in the secure preview on the QPP website before it becomes public on the profile pages of clinicians and groups on the Medicare.gov compare tool and in the Provider Data Catalog (PDC). The Preview Period will remain open until Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).
