Self-Direction Survey for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their Families
Description
The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is working with Guidehouse to review the OPWDD Self-Direction model. To best understand the Self-Direction model, Guidehouse made a survey to collect your feedback.
Below, please click on the link. A survey will appear that asks you questions about your experience in Self-Direction or why you have not chosen to use Self-Direction.
What is Self-Direction?
OPWDD’s Self-Direction model prioritizes choice, control, and flexibility for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. People in Self-Direction can make decisions on:
• Who provides support
• How they provide support
• Where they provide support
Who is Guidehouse?
Guidehouse was hired to review the OPWDD Self-Direction model. The goal is to review the current policies and processes. Based on the review, Guidehouse will give OPWDD ideas to make the Self-Direction model better and long-lasting.
Please contact nyopwdd-selfdirection@guidehouse.com if you have any questions about the survey.
