Evaluation of UKHSA surveillance outputs related to antimicrobial resistance
|
Background and aims of evaluation UKHSA’s Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Health Care Associated Infection (HCAI) division, together with the Evaluation & Epidemiological Science (EES) division are working on an evaluation of UKHSA-provided surveillance outputs related to the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) national action plan 2024 to 2029. This includes surveillance statistics and monitoring data on various bacterial and fungal infections, antimicrobial use, pathogen resistance rates and antimicrobial stewardship. |
UKHSA AMR surveillance outputs evaluation survey This evaluation aims to understand who uses UKHSA AMR surveillance data and for what purposes. Please complete the questionnaire even if you do not currently use UKHSA AMR surveillance data in your work, as it is important that we also capture reasons why these surveillance data are not used.
We want to assess how surveillance data is used and its impact both within and beyond government. We also want to identify ways to improve the outputs to better support all users. We would like to know what additional surveillance data should be collected to enhance ongoing work. |
The survey will take approx. 10-30 minutes to complete, depending on how many surveillance outputs you are familiar with). If you only use one surveillance output, it should take around 10–15 minutes. For each additional output you're familiar with, please allow an extra 10 minutes. We will ask detailed questions about a maximum of 3 outputs in total.
If you are unable to complete the survey in a single sitting, your responses can be saved. You can return to same place when you click the survey link again. To amend answers before submitting you can use the forward and back arrow keys. You will not be able to amend or retract your answers once the survey has been submitted. You can skip questions that you do not want to answer. Only very few questions are mandatory and options such as “Prefer not to say” will be given in those cases. |
Answers provided will be kept in strict confidence and will be held and processed securely in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UKHSA information governance policies and procedures. Reporting of the findings will be aggregated by stakeholder group or organisation so that individual responses cannot be identified. Personal information (name and email) provided on a voluntary bases at the end of the survey will only be used for follow-up contact and will not be included in analysis or any outputs created. Any quotes taken from your answers will be anonymised through a descriptive acronym (such as “Epidemiologist” or “Survey respondent”). |
