Description
More than 1.3 million homes and businesses in Michigan depend on septic systems to treat wastewater. If not maintained, failing septic systems can contaminate groundwater and harm the environment by releasing bacteria, viruses, and household toxics to local waterways. This informative session will cover septic system operation and maintenance practices and steps to take if you have a septic system problem. This session will also include an update on the Michigan Septic Loan Replacement Program. After registering, you will receive an email from "EGLE Outreach" with a link for you to use to join the webinar. EGLE does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, religion, age, national origin, color, marital status, disability, political beliefs, height, weight, genetic information, or sexual orientation in the administration of any of its programs or activities, and prohibits intimidation and retaliation, as required by applicable laws and regulations. Individuals needing language assistance or accommodations for effective participation should contact Joel Roseberry, roseberryj@michigan.gov by May 14 to request language, mobility, visual, hearing, translation, and/or other assistance.
