Judson “Jud” Scott enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserves in 1966. In 1968, he was commissioned and spent four years on active duty with the Submarine Force in the Pacific, serving on the USS Tang 563. In 1975, after law school, he rejoined the Navy Reserves and served as Deputy Commander of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet Submarine Force and Director of the Submarine Reserves. He was selected for Rear Admiral in 1997 and retired after thirty-five years of service in 2001. Rear Admiral Scott continues to serve Veterans and has been a board member of the Texas Veterans Land Board since 2019.
