BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Board of Developmental Disabilities is excited to announce the debut of a transportable adult/universal changing area at the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival on Thursday, August 15th. This innovative facility will be available to all festival attendees, ensuring that more people can enjoy the event without the concern of finding a private place for changing needs.
The changing area will be centrally located in the heart of the festival, in the red tent in the parking lot of Dollar General at the corner of S. Sandusky and E. Renesslaer Street. The station will be equipped with an electronic adjustable changing table, sanitary wipes, hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial wipes, and a disposal container for incontinent garments and other related trash. Additionally, the area will be well-lit as needed.
The purchase of this transportable adult/universal changing table was made possible through an Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) ARPA Grant. This funding aims to increase community accessibility for people with developmental disabilities.
The adult/universal changing area will also be available for other venues throughout Crawford County. To reserve the facility, please contact the Crawford County Board of Developmental Disabilities at 419-562-3321.
