Pentagon City Metro Station Second Elevator Construction of a second elevator on the west side of South Hayes Street, will improve access for patrons making transit connections and for Pentagon City retail customers and tourists.
Wilson & Washington Boulevard Intersection (Clarendon Circle) Clarendon Circle was redesigned to improve access and safety for those who walk, bike and drive. Previously, travel across the intersection was difficult due to its extreme width and the skewed alignment of its roadways. North Irving Street also entered the circle area in two offset locations, further complicating the traffic pattern.
Washington Boulevard Repave at Westover (N McKinley to N Longfellow) The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be repaving the segment of Washington Boulevard between North McKinley Road and North Frederick Street as a part of routine repaving work in summer 2019.
Custis Trail Needs Assessment County staff reviewed the entirety of the existing Custis Trail, and its associated trailheads, from its terminus at the intersection with the Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail near the western edge of the County all the way to its terminus with the Mount Vernon Trail in Rosslyn, adjacent to the Key Bridge.

7th Road South Neighborhood Complete Street Project In 2017, the Neighborhood Complete Streets (NCS) program received a nomination for improvement to the road conditions on 7th Road South from South Dinwiddie Street to Carlin Springs Road.
N Sycamore Street Complete Streets Project This project will improve safety and access along Sycamore Street from Langston Blvd to 19th St N for people walking and biking.
18th Street N and N Glebe Road Safe Routes to School Project A Safe Routes to School (SRTS) grant identified improvements that Arlington County could make to improve safety for all children walking to Glebe Elementary School.
