Becoming a Childminder - Preparing your Business for registration
This 90 minute webinar is aimed at those who are in the process of registering as a Childminder. It will provide a detailed explanation of the registration process and a basic introduction to the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). It will also signpost you on to any further training or next steps within the West Sussex Early Years Training team.

By attending this webinar, you will:
· know the key legislative requirements for starting a home childcare business, including registration with His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), insurance requirements, and establishing if consent is required from other parties
· be able to explain the pre-registration visit process
· be able to describe the core principles of the EYFS Safeguarding and Welfare requirements and be able to explain these to an Ofsted inspector or Childminder Agency
· be able to describe the core principles of the EYFS Learning and Development requirements and how you will implement these in your setting and be able to explain these to an Ofsted inspector or Childminder Agency
· have knowledge of any next steps or support processes that WSCC offer a Childminder.
