Tampa Drug Dealer Pleads Guilty To Distribution Of Fentanyl And Cocaine Causing An Overdose Death

Tampa, Florida – United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announces that Brandon Lewis Graham (43, Brandon) has pleaded guilty to distribution of fentanyl and cocaine resulting in the death of a victim. Graham faces a minimum penalty of 20 years, and up life, in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

According to the plea agreement, on March 31, 2022, law enforcement responded to a home in Tampa involving a deceased individual. During the investigation, law enforcement retrieved a clear plastic baggie from the victim that contained fentanyl, cocaine, and ethanol. The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the victim’s cause of death was intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl, cocaine, and ethanol.

A witness stated to law enforcement that the victim had purchased the narcotics from Graham on March 30, 2022, at a gas station in Riverview. The victim had fallen asleep and in the morning was unresponsive. Emergency personnel arrived at the residence, but the victim was deceased when they arrived.

Law enforcement retrieved video surveillance information from the gas station that showed the victim arriving and meeting with Graham. As a result, law enforcement obtained Graham’s vehicle information and registration. Additionally, the victim’s cellphone was recovered, it contained information identifying Graham via a telephone number that was registered to him.

This case was investigated by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Maria Guzman.
