KBE names Bowling Green Independent educator Emily Lehman winner of the 2024 Robinson Award
The Kentucky Board of Education (KBE) presented the 2024 Robinson Award for Diversity and Equity in Public Education to Emily Lehman, a 5th-grade educator for W.R. McNeill Elementary (Bowling Green Independent), at its April 10 meeting.

The Kentucky Board of Education (KBE) presented the 2023 Robinson Award for diversity and equity in public education to Melanie House, the gifted and talented itinerant educator for Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), at its April 12 meeting.

Jason Reeves, professor of education at Georgetown College, was presented with the Robinson Award for Diversity and Equity in Public Education at the Kentucky Board of Education’s (KBE’s) regular meeting on April 20.
Sharon Porter Robinson awarded the 2022 Smith-Wilson Award for Civil and Human Rights in Education
Sharon Porter Robinson has spent almost five decades working in and for education and a lifetime doing civil rights work. On April 7, she was recognized for her efforts with the 2022 Lucy Harth Smith-Atwood S. Wilson Award for Civil and Human Rights in Education at the 50th Kentucky Education Association (KEA) Delegate Assembly.
