Marine Corps veteran and Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) employee Curtis Volkmann has made it his mission to make every Michigan Vietnam War-era veteran aware of the Michigan Vietnam Veteran Recognition Certificate. The certificate honors Michigan veterans for honorable service during the Vietnam War-era and is signed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Adjutant General Paul D. Rogers. Veterans who served during the Vietnam War-era can learn more and apply for the certificate at https://lnkd.in/gg4zrgH6. Through his role as a general office assistant at MVAA, Curtis proudly oversees every stage of fulfillment for the Michigan Vietnam Veteran Recognition Certificate — from reviewing and processing applications, to printing certificates and submitting them for signatures, to mailing them to veterans. “It is my personal goal to reach all Michigan Vietnam War-era veterans and encourage them to apply for a certificate,” says Curtis. “This is a small step in the right direction to honor all of their sacrifices made during the Vietnam War.”
