An alien from China with an outstanding sexual assault warrant in Arkansas and a nationwide extradition order was apprehended during a scheduled interview in Phoenix. Coordination with local law enforcement led the applicant to be taken into custody without incident. This coordination underscores our agency’s unwavering commitment to make America safe again.

A court warrant for domestic violence doesn’t just go away, especially if you’re trying to get approved for immigration benefits. An alien from the Dominican Republic had a warrant from the San Juan District Court from 2021 and was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at our San Juan office. This is how we protect families and make communities safe again under President Donald J. Trump and Secretary Kristi Noem.

Thanks Newsmax Media, Inc. for having USCIS Director Edlow on to discuss the abuses we uncovered in the Special Immigrant Juvenile Program and how we’re working to stop them.

The SIJ or Special Immigrant Juvenile program is a well-intentioned program that has been abused for years. In our latest report, USCIS identified 853 known or suspected gang members who filed SIJ petitions, and most were approved. USCIS is taking action to mitigate program integrity vulnerabilities. https://lnkd.in/gr-RNEKV

Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) visas have been abused for far too long, allowing criminal aliens to enter our country. USCIS will no longer stand by and allow this to happen. https://lnkd.in/gdwW3rHr

Thanks to the attentive screening and vetting of our USCIS team in Orange County, we identified a dangerous criminal alien from China who had been arrested for rape, inflicting corporal injury, attempted murder, and preventing a victim to report. The alien was subsequently convicted of false imprisonment, a felony. This public safety threat is now off our streets thanks to our coordinated efforts with law enforcement partners.

Our Detroit office discovered that an alien from China had an arrest warrant in Michigan for assault causing great bodily harm and domestic violence. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested the alien, who had also overstayed his visa. Applying for immigration benefits while having unresolved issues with the law is a bad idea.
