National Walking Month

May is Living Streets’ National Walking Month, a chance to celebrate the benefits of walking and wheeling.  

This year, we invited you to discover the #MagicOfWalking and celebrate how walking and wheeling more can boost your physical and mental health, as well as supporting the local economy. Over 250,000 pupils also got involved with Living Streets' Walk to School Week - choosing to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot to school.  

May might be over but you can take part in our #Try20 challenge all year-round. Check out our tips on how to fit 20 minutes of walking into your day.

Our #Try20 tips are designed to help you fit a walk into your day, whether it’s by going on a walking meeting or finding peace in a local green space. Thousands of people have taken on the challenge – will you give it a go?
