Family Partnerships
MiFamily Engagement Regional Centers
MiFamily Engagement Regional Centers will serve as a nexus for resource development and capacity-building within a network of those supporting educators, providing educational programs, linking families to community resources, and reaching out to families in meaningful ways to better equip them to become the best partners in their child's education that they can be.
MiFamily: Michigan's Family Engagement Framework
MiFamily: Michigan's Family Engagement Framework provides programs and schools research and best practices to further improve and develop family engagement. The framework was developed by an MDE stakeholder committee - including MDE staff and program, school, and community leaders - in partnership with the Council of Chief State School Officers and the National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement.
The MiFamily document is offered as the first in a series of support documents to help parents and guardians as they engage and support their child's learning.
Family Engagement
Family engagement is a collaborative effort among families, educators, providers, and partners to enhance learning, development, and health.

Family Engagement for Literacy
When families and schools partner to support children's literacy achievement, children have more opportunities to learn and practice essential literacy skills and grow as readers and writers. This resource is intended to support educators in building family partnerships to enhance students' literacy development at school and at home.
