The board is scheduled to meet in person on Wednesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 5, 2025, in Salem, Oregon. This meeting will be live-streamed. An opportunity for live testimony is available for specific items. The board will have limited time scheduled for live testimony, but written testimony is also welcomed.

  • Testimony will not be accepted for consent agenda, work sessions, or items where the public comment period has already closed. These items are identified in the agenda with an asterisk (*).
  • Written testimony can be submitted by mail or email at boardofforestry@odf.oregon.gov.
  • Written testimony sent 72 hours or more before the meeting will give the board time to review and consider the information. Any testimony submitted after that window of time will be sent to the board after the meeting but entered into the record and posted online. The board will meet on Monday, May 12 for a virtual special meeting outside of the calendared Board of Forestry events for 2025. This meeting will focus on the state forester recruitment and will be livestreamed for public viewing.

The meeting will contain an executive session, which will not be livestreamed, and will be closed to the public except for members of the press, who will need to request access to the meeting. See the agenda for details.

There will not be an opportunity for live testimony to be provided during the meeting time. Written comments can be submitted by email to boardofforestry@odf.oregon.gov, until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9.

Public comment received during the April 23, 2025, Board of Forestry meeting on the topic of the 2024 Davis Ridge Timber Sale prompted the Board to encourage an investigation by the Department. Interim State Forester Skinner conducted fact-finding activities and published a memorandum on the Review of the Davis Ridge Timber Sale process and timeline on May 5, 2025. As of May 9, 2025, this memorandum has been updated to include additional detail requested by Board Chair Kelly at the top of page 3.
