New Jersey Trail User Survey

The NJ Department of Environmental Protection and NJ Department of Transportation are updating New Jersey’s trail planning guidance. By taking this survey, you can help shape the future of New Jersey’s trails!

We are looking at all types of trails for this survey, including greenways, shared use paths, bike routes, primitive footpaths, water trails through our lakes and rivers, and on-road sections of trails. They can be used for enjoyment and exercise or to get you to where you need to go by foot, bike, scooter, etc.

This survey is for all New Jersey residents, even if you don’t use trails often or at all, and for visitors from other states who use New Jersey’s trails. This survey is voluntary and confidential, and your name will not be collected. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. The closing date of this survey is Monday, March 31, 2025.
