In Western Montana, at Nilan Reservoir, Montana FWP is deploying dive teams to search for signs of aquatic invasive species, particularly Eurasian watermilfoil. This invasive plant has been detected in these waters in previous years, marking the first time it has been found on the Rocky Mountain Front. Montana FWP treated the area, almost eradicating the plant, a challenging task, but thanks to a dedicated team, they continue to monitor these waters.
