Our Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) provides individuals with disabilities services and supports necessary to help them attain and maintain employment. Disabilities may include physical, intellectual, mental health, or sensory disabilities. Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services are customized for each individual through assessments and one-on-one meetings with professional VR Counselors.
We understand that you are in business to make a profit. A collaborative effort with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) can help your business increase productivity, morale, and your bottom line.
We work with employer partners, to promote a talent pool of job-ready candidates, and to support businesses in the hiring and retention of individuals with disabilities.
BSVI is committed to helping people with low vision and blindness succeed in the workforce. BSVI helps eligible individuals prepare for or retain careers consistent with their skills, interests, and abilities.
The success of OOD and the individuals it serves depends on great relationships with partners, including state and local agencies, providers, businesses, county boards, schools/colleges, nonprofits, and more.
