Oakland County is collaborating with Rochester Housing Solutions and Three Oaks Communities to build Walton Oaks in Rochester Hills, the first neuro-inclusive neighborhood in Oakland County. This community is the second in Michigan to offer homes for sale to the public and to homebuyers with developmental disabilities. Learn more: bit.ly/waltonoaks2024. The project has public and private support from the Oakland County Housing Trust Fund, @fsbmichigan, and private equity partners. We have invested $500,000 into the project, which will give homebuyers access to customizable homes, a welcoming community, home ownership, independent living, and proximity to loved ones, jobs and critical resources.
