Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) hiring events during National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) 2024 made a difference! We had five hiring events across the state, including:
• 424 interviews
• 39 employers
• 255 job seekers
• 16 same-day job offers!
Three areas also hosted job fairs in conjunction with the hiring events, with 41 employers and nearly 200 job seekers participating. These events not only facilitated direct connection to jobs but also emphasized the ongoing commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces. This year’s theme, "Access to Good Jobs for All," highlights the importance of providing equitable opportunities for individuals with disabilities, ensuring they can thrive in diverse work environments.
